Countdown to Christmas Jumper Day With Save the Children

Save the Children’s Christmas Jumper Day, taking place on Thursday 7th December 2023, is an annual event organised by the UK charity. Participants across the United Kingdom and beyond don festive sweaters, raising money to support children all over the world. Since its inception in 2012, this heartwarming tradition has generated over £35 million in donations for children both in the UK and worldwide.

Just last year, the event’s participants contributed an impressive £5 million, with even the UK government getting involved contributing £2 million. With over 2 million schoolchildren and 24,000 workplaces taking part, Christmas Jumper Day continues to spread joy and make a significant difference in the lives of children.

This is exactly what we wanted when embarking on this campaign – to spread joy and get people signed up for Christmas Jumper Day through simple, yet effective messaging. This dynamic DOOH campaign has successfully ignited the holiday spirit within us, making Christmas feel just around the corner. It stands as a shining example of effective dynamic DOOH with its use of location callouts and countdown features across 2000 screens in various formats, all while championing a noble cause. The campaign’s utilisation of these elements, combined with its creative flair, has left a lasting impression.

At the heart of this campaign lies cleverly incorporated location callouts and a countdown clock. These features not only serve to build anticipation but also provide a sense of urgency, compelling viewers to engage with the content and take action. The campaign’s simple yet delightful visuals add to its overall charm. By keeping the creative aspects approachable and fun, it resonates with a broad audience, making it more relatable and shareable.

Andrew Newman, CEO at DOOH.com says, “It was a privilege collaborating with Save the Children on this fantastic campaign. Intending to encourage people to sign up to take part in their Christmas Jumper Day, raise money and sport their festive jumpers to raise money for a great cause, this campaign was an ideal match for a dynamic DOOH (Digital Out of Home) campaign.

“The inclusion of a countdown timer ensures that everyone stayed informed about the upcoming annual event, while the local call-outs provided a personal and relatable touch to the campaign.

“The exhilarating projects we engage in through our work at DOOH.com are always meaningful to us, but when they involve a noble cause like Save the Children, it truly feels like an honour.”
