In a bold fusion of creativity and technology, we teamed up with P&O Cruises to launch a multi-faceted digital out-of-home (DOOH) campaign, setting a new standard for immersive brand experiences. This activation brought the magic of a P&O Cruises holiday directly to audiences, blending cutting-edge 3D visuals and real-time data to transport viewers to sunnier climates.
At the heart of the campaign was a 3D creative, programmatically bought and displayed across multiple locations, a showcase of innovation that aimed to stop commuters in their tracks. As they descended the escalators, they were plunged into a vibrant underwater world where fish swim seamlessly out of the screen. This immersive spectacle encapsulated the essence of P&O Cruises’ promise: a “Holiday Like Never Before.”
This campaign also included a Dynamic digital OOH activation that extended across the UK, leveraging geo-location targeting and real-time API feeds to engage audiences. Live updates displayed the locations of P&O Cruises’ fleet alongside real-time weather reports from their sun-soaked destinations. Whether it’s the warmth of the Caribbean breeze or the allure of Mediterranean coastlines, these ads aimed to invite commuters to step away from the grey of daily life.
From concept to execution, this was a collaborative effort, working with Wavemaker UK and GroupM on this multi-faceted campaign.
The integration of advanced technology with stunning visual storytelling to create a seamless underwater illusion at Waterloo required precision, expertise, and a deep understanding of spatial design to craft an experience that felt truly alive.
Meanwhile, aligning the dynamic DOOH elements with live data feeds meant working to ensure accuracy and impact. The ability to display up-to-the-minute ship locations and destination weather was a logistical challenge, but the result is a campaign that resonates with audiences.
